The fact that at BT we support sports is not new at all, but having an ATM with a concept dedicated to sports is certainly something new among ATMs 😉.
We wanted to somehow mark the fact that every city has its own story, so we marked the most beautiful landmarks with a unique signature, our bank's ATMs. Thus, the idea of Story ATMs , the concept which means BT ATMs with an Instagrammable look, in case you take a picture with one of them (wink-wink).
Today we stop in Cluj, at our ATM of long race, which you can find at the city's Multipurpose Hall or more precisely, at BTarena. Inaugurated in 2014, the city's Multipurpose Hall became in 2018 BTarena based on a partnership between Transilvania Bank and Cluj-Napoca City Hall.
BTarena has had around four million visitors over the years, who have transformed the city into a national center for events and sports competitions: the European Artistic Gymnastics Championship, the European Taekwondo Cup, EuroBasket 2017, a series of FedCup and Davis Cup matches, as well as concerts by internationally renowned artists such as James Blunt, Julio Iglesias, Toto Cutugno, Lara Fabian, Sting, Tom Jones, Lenny Kravitz, or Enrique Iglesias.
Interesting facts:
- BTarena was the chosen location for the 2017 European Individual Gymnastics Championship – this being the second edition hosted by Romania, after the one in 1957.
- The first edition of Transylvania Comic-Con took place at BTarena in the year 2019 gathering 23,000 fans of comic strips, series and specialized movies who had the opportunity to meet actors from Hollywood such as Alexander Ludwig (Vikings, The Hunger Games) or Manu Bennett (The Hobbit, Arrow).
- Recently, the location was transformed into a non-stop vaccination center during the period May 14-17 of this year.
And after such a marathon of events, we can certainly say that this ATM is one of the most "hardworking" cash machines, eagerly waiting to receive the "visits" of the people of Cluj, the supporters. By the way, did you know that, for example, you can withdraw money from the ATM using your phone?
