Via Transilvanica: the first 1,400 km route crossing Romania through 10 counties and 12 UNESCO heritage sites

Via Transilvania stands out as one of the core initiatives of Banca Transilvania because it brings together all the things we love and cherish about Romania: its landscapes, culture and communities.

Listed in 2024 by Time magazine as one of the world’s 100 most beautiful places in the world, the unifying route covers over 1,400 kilometers, 2,000 years of history and links over 600 communities.

Moreover, Via Transilvanica represents art: milestones sculpted by Romanian and international artists mark each kilometer and transform the route into an open-air sculpture exhibition.

We are delighted to be a partner of Via Transilvanica. In 2025, we will mark seven years since the Tăşuleasa Social Association launched this project, which is both a national endeavor and a labor of love.
