You open an account through BT Pay from the diaspora, you receive 5% cashback

For many Romanians, home it is more than an address. It means people, customs, the language in which they think. Why wouldn't home and bank mean? Your home bank.

We are launching a campaign for Romanians living abroad, but who remain connected to Romania and want to become clients of Transilvania Bank simply, quickly, 100% online.

To enter the campaign:

1. Open a BT account in lei through BT Pay application, until March 9, 2026 inclusive.
   
   
2. Use the BT card in euros, issued within the campaign, for purchases anywhere in the world, except Romania, both in physical stores and online. These must be made within three months from the account opening at our bank (until March 31, 2026) .
   
   
3. Enter on BT Diaspora website and complete the registration form. If you are among the first 2,000 people registered and have opened an account through BT Pay, you receive 5% cashback (maximum 100 euros) from the value of the purchases.
   
   

BT Pay, step by step:

1. You download the app, you have an account and a card

   You can find the application in Google Play, App Store or Huawei App Gallery. In a few minutes you can open your account at BT directly from the app and receive instantly a lei debit card (digital), ready to use. Because it is useful for you and also to be part of the campaign, it is necessary to also issue through the app a BT card in euro - we have several options, you can see them here.
   
   

2. You receive the physical card anywhere in the world

   If you also need a physical card, upon requesting it in BT Pay, complete the delivery address, and we will send you the physical card. Yes, the card comes to you, anywhere in the world. It is about, of course, the BT card in lei or euro which is not only in digital form.
   
   

3. Can you also add cards from other countries

   In BT Pay you can enroll cards issued by other banks or fintechs from other countries.
   
   

4. You easily top up your card

   You can transfer money to the BT account directly from the app, from any card enrolled in BT Pay, whether it is issued abroad or in Romania.
   
   

5. The majority of services are free

   Transfers in other currencies or in lei between people using BT Pay are commission-free, as are card payments – digital or physical – in Romania or abroad.
