How to invest in the stock market in 5 steps
I prepared for you 5 simple steps to follow, to enter the stock market:
1. Choose a brokerage firm
It is the first necessary step, because trading on the stock exchange is done only through a broker. You can ask for advice from friends with experience in the capital market or we can help you, through BT Capital Partners.
2. Open a trading account
It is very simple, it is similar to opening a bank account. At BT Capital Partners you have the possibility to do this as well online. Discuss with the broker about your plans related to investments and what risks you want to take. You can also open an account if you visit the bank.
3. Fund the account with money
You have saved some money that you decided to invest. Once you have opened your trading account, you will be able to fund it through a payment order (physical or online – BT24, BTPay). You can start with smaller amounts.
4. Inform yourself, Inform yourself, Inform yourself
If you want to be an educated investor it is necessary to familiarize yourself with the stock exchange. Read about stock indices, the local stock market (Bucharest Stock Exchange) or about foreign ones. Currently, through BT Capital Partners you have access to 27 foreign markets. If things seem too complicated, still turn to a broker.
5. Buys and sells shares
If you chose a few companies you heard good things about, you can start “shopping”. You have an application at hand online for this or you can call on the help of your broker. If you want to better understand how the stock exchange works, but do not yet feel ready to trade on a real account, you can start by using a cont demo.
An investment in financial instruments also involves certain inherent risks for holdings and transactions with financial instruments, risks related to legislative changes, changes in tax legislation, changes in interest rates or market prices of financial instruments, lack of predictability in dividend distribution, profitability and profits.
